  A question about lying and the Jehovah's Witnesses

  i have seen questions regarding how much jehovah's witnesses lie all the time on yahoo answers.

  here is the latest question:.

  jehovah's witnesses, is lying at any time something jehovah approves of?.

  What a terrific role model for your girls

  No. I have apologized to both of them for my parenting. Like most others on the board, I regret not paying attention to my gut instincts and leaving JWs much earlier.

  So, I will not take the title "terrific role model," but I will say I was an adequate role model. The good news is, even adequate parenting can yield good results.

  My oldest recently watched the television program featuring the FLDS woman and her daughters who left the 'compound' to try to live normal lives. One day, they all went to a salon to have their hair cut and done, an act forbidden by their church. The eight year-old, while fondling her adorable new chin length bob, looked at the camera and said, "If this is sinning, I like it!" My oldest immediately telephoned me to say that the little girl so reminded her of me. BEST compliment ever.....

  Perhaps 'brazen' really does apply to me. ; )

  curious, were you already fading when she decided to go to college to become an attourney?

  I was fading but I didn't know it! When my oldest daughter was 12-13 years old, I started telling people in the congregation that she was going to college. I was determined that she would not be like me, who at one time was financially stuck with a physically abusive (ex)husband. I had no intention of leaving the org. at this time.

  I told people that I rejected the thought that a person was unable to serve Jehovah and be educated. I declared that Jehovah has always promoted education, and that one can be a strong publisher while attending school.

  When my youngest (the prosecutor) was 12 years-old, I allowed her to discontinue meeting attendance. I have a strong personality, and I think most people (and brothers) didn't want the fight. I was very knowledgable about the Bible and JW beliefs, and could out debate them. However, I was routinely called "Jezebel" by certain elders..even to my face..afterwhich they would claim they were just joking of course. Passive-aggressive weaklings.

  I did not start fading until approximately 2008, and my youngest was in law school at the time. She graduated law school in June 2010, and I entered law school September 2010.

  LOL - How did that go down?

  During a break in the proceedings, he strolled over and presented it to her. Of course, she's the prosecutor and can't communicate with him without his attorney, so she just gave him the look of death and walked away. Apparently, he has been an "asshole" throughout the whole process.

  His attorney told her the defendant was JW a while back, and she just laughed.

  She sees the 'JW defense' all the time, but this particular defendant isn't using it. Once, she told the judge that she knew the defendant was misstating something because JWs do not believe that way. The judge asked her, "And just how do you know THAT Ms. Prosecutor!" She didn't say she was raised as one, but instead said much of her family is JW. She knew she wouldn't win, because merely having JW family members doesn't qualify her as a JW expert, but she wanted all the JWs in the gallery to know they couldn't pull any sh*t with her.

  in the last 4 months my eyes have been opened to ttatt, my biggest issue is that the elders have been grooming me to appoint me as an elder.
